It couldn't be simpler. We cut the mat to size according to the template you have created. Then simply remove the factory-applied backing film on the reverse side and apply the HLF Marine mat to the prepared surface.
DONE!
You can walk on your new HLF-Marine deck flooring immediately, which is why the peel & stick installation technique is particularly suitable for hard-to-reach areas and tight spaces. It is also ideal for bonding bathing platforms. From a certain size or for longer lengths, we recommend the installation technique with our HLF system adhesive. We would be happy to advise you on the optimum bonding method for your project.

5 STEPS TO THE NEW DECK

The „peel & stick“ installation technique briefly explained

1. CREATE TEMPLATE

  • Measure, mark out and cut the template to size.
  • The template serves as a pattern for the production of the finished HLF marine mat
  • Please ask us for detailed instructions on how to create templates

2. PREPARATION OF THE DECK

  • Remove the old deck covering and sand the substrate if necessary
  • If you have any questions about substrate preparation, please contact us
  • Finally, remove dust from the entire surface and degrease with isopropanol
  • Then apply the supplied primer (adhesion promoter)
  • Optional: Use a UV lamp to check whether the entire surface is wetted with the adhesion promoter

3. POSITION THE MAT

  • Lay out the mat and position it precisely
  • Place a few registration marks to determine the alignment and fit before bonding
  • After bonding, the mat can no longer be subsequently aligned. Please ensure that the parts fit perfectly before final bonding

4. GLUE DECK

  • Remove the backing film and gradually lay the mats on the prepared surfaces

5. ENJOY HLF-MARINE!

  • The area is immediately accessible
  • Do not expose HLF-Marine to direct sunlight for approx. 12 hours after installation to achieve optimum, long-term results
